Gracyn Shinyei

With over 13 years of experience in the performing arts, Gracyn has cultivated a dynamic career as both a dancer and an actor. From performing annually at the Pacific National Exhibition to dancing in Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas: The Movie, Gracyn has brought her passion and precision to both stages and screens.

 

Career highlights include performing as the lead dancer at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Opening Ceremonies alongside Sarah McLachlan and Tegan and Sara, and playing the title role of "Zoe" in The Great Big Boo, a Halloween show presented by Cineplex. Gracyn’s acting credits also span commercials, films, and TV series, including When Calls the Heart (12 seasons), Batwoman, and The Man in the High Castle.

 

In 2019, Gracyn proudly represented Canada as a member of the Team Canada Dance Team in Poland, competing in ballet, contemporary, and jazz. Currently, she is training in the Professional Contemporary Dance Training Program at Modus Operandi, and is excited to share the knowledge and techniques she’s gaining from this advanced experience with her students.
