Morgan McQueen
R.A.D. Ballet Instructor
Competitive Instructor
(Tap)
Morgan McQueen began taking ballet classes from Deborah Cameron’s Cameron Academy of Classical dance and Barry Coutler’s The Langley Dance studio/Dance Xpressions at the young age of three. Her love for ballet was always strong, even as she developed as a dancer who excelled in several other forms including tap, jazz/lyrical, musical theatre, and hip hop. After a successful adolescent career, and having completed her RAD graded and vocational examinations, Morgan’s post-secondary experiences brought her opportunities to work with some very credited teachers across Canada and the United States. Aside from her successes as a Dance Instructor, Morgan has had many opportunities as a dancer including performing with the BC Lions “Felions” for 3 years, Dancing (5 Years) and Choreographing (11 years) with the Vancouver Giants “The Jackettes”, Performing with Vancouver’s Make Your Mark Hip Hop Crew, Dancing aboard The Carnival Paradise, Competing in Germany as part of the Canadian National tap team both as a soloist and group member, and many other dancing opportunities around the Vancouver area.
With an extensive knowledge in the pre-primary to intermediate level syllabi, Morgan is a part of an amazing team of teachers who have had many successes with students’ examination work. For the past 20 years, her passion for teaching classical ballet and other forms of dance has paved her way to success as a dance educator and has helped her to build relationships with her students. Many of these students were able to earn scholarships, bursaries, and professional achievements with Morgan’s assistance.
Morgan always aspires to influence her students as her teachers did her and she is very excited to be a part of the ballet program at Peggy Peats School of Dance.
