Natasha Dawson
Tap & Lyrical
From the age of 5, Natasha immersed herself, with dedication and passion, in all disciplines of dance at Peggy Peat School of Dance. Her competitive journey culminated with winning the prestigious title of 2022 BC Provincial Senior Tap and Stage Champion.
She is a seasoned performer, who also studied at the Vancouver Tap Dance Society as a member of the youth performing company, TapCo. In addition, she has completed her RAD ballet exams up to Advanced 1. Natasha was honoured to be selected as a member
of The Source Dance Company in 2023, a training and performance company for emerging professional dancers. Currently, Natasha trains in the pre-professional program, Tap Artistry, where she continues to develop her skills in artistic expression, improvisation, and choreography. She has performed both locally and abroad, in the
‘Vancouver International Tap Dance Festival: Tap Artistry’ ‘Jeffrey and Friends’ and ‘Let us Dance’. Most recently, she is thrilled to be a part of the tap dance show “Paying the Dues” by Jordyn Lemire. Natasha performed as a professional dancer at the Vancouver PNE for the past 3 summers, including the pyrotechnic night show ‘Remix Inferno’.
Internationally, she represented Canada at the 2019 IDO World Jazz and Contemporary Championship in Poland winning the silver medal in Jazz Large Group. She has attended numerous international tap festivals in New York, Chicago, LA, Dallas and Calgary under
the guidance of world-renowned artists such as Anthony Morigerato, Tres Dumas, Sarah Reich, and Dianne Walker. Natasha has 5 years of experience working as an assistant at PPSD. She is excited to be working with young dancers to inspire and share her love of
dance. Natasha is also currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science at Simon Fraser University.
